Julian has announced the winner of his 2013 Christmas Card Competition.
Eight-year old Polly Harrison, from Threshfield Primary School, designed the entry which was chosen by the MP to go on the front of his card. It is the school’s second success in the competition – then, Threshfield pupil Megan Berry won the 2011 competition.
The Christmas Card, paid for personally by the MP, will be sent to hundreds of people across the constituency, at Westminster and Downing Street.
Hundreds of entries were received and along with Polly’s winning design, four runners-up were chosen and are featured on the inside of the card.
They are:
• Emilia Johnson, aged 11, from Dacre Brathwaite Church of England Primary School
• Ebonie Andison, aged 8, from Kirby Hill Church of England Primary School
• Ben Eastham, aged 11, and Georgina Morgan, aged 10, from Carleton Endowed Church of England Primary School
Julian said:
“The standard of entries for the Christmas Card competition was higher than ever this year. Polly’s entry of a festive penguin captured the spirit of the festive season and was perfect for my 2013 card. I want to thank all the pupils and schools who took part in this year’s competition.”
