Julian met with Esmee Holgate who is a member of the England Judo Squad and has won two silver medals and one bronze medal for her country in both the U18 and U21 categories.
Esmee won the silver medal in Sheffield on December 5, 2021, during the British Championships. She previously competed in the U18 category, winning all her matches and claiming the bronze medal. She also ranked second in the U21 category and was placed onto the GBR squad. She won Cumbria’s Rising Sports Star Award in November 2019.
Julian enjoyed discussing Esmee’s success and hearing about how she juggles her training along with all her other commitments.
