Julian met with Thomas Finch and Anita Hoggarth from Greatwood Community Primary School in Skipton before they attended a ceremony at the House of Lords for Sports Leaders UK. They were attending on behalf of their Year-Six pupils who had been nominated for the Youth Leadership Trophy for their excellent work in promoting sport and leading activities in the school.
The new award from Sports Leaders UK aims to encourage young people to take up leadership roles and help prepare them for the transition between Primary School and Secondary School.
Julian said: "This is a fantastic achievement and something both the pupils and teachers of Greatwood Primary School should be very proud of."
