Julian Smith MP visited Skipton Girls’ High School to meet with the Headteacher, Jenn Plews and the Chair of Governors, Howard Cutler. They discussed a range of issues affecting the school and education in the wider area, including their campaign for a 20MPH speed limit on Gargrave Road, the expansion of the Northern Star Academies Trust and the future plans for Skipton Girls’ High itself.
Julian Smith MP said: ‘I had a very useful discussion with Jenn and Howard about a range of issues affecting Skipton Girls’ High School and education across Craven. Schools across our area are facing a number of challenges, which makes it all the more important that we continue this kind of constructive dialogue.’
