Masham Development Group (MDG) has been set up to assist the Parish Council in undertaking a regeneration of Masham to meet the interests of residents, local businesses and visitors to the town.
Julian Smith, Member of Parliament for Skipton and Ripon, recently met with Flo Grainger and Stephen Hill from MDG to hear about their proposals for attracting more people to the area following the huge success of getting a Brown Sign on the A1.
Julian said: 'I really enjoyed hearing about their plans to develop the market experience in the town which will include more stalls, offering space to more local food producers, encouraging live demonstrations from local businesses and showcasing the brilliant restaurants, hotels and attractions in the area to ensure that Masham is kept firmly on the map as one of our areas most outstanding tourist destinations.'
