Julian Smith, Member of Parliament for Skipton and Ripon, joined the Great British Dog Walk for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal earlier this month.
The charity trains clever dogs to help with profoundly deaf children and adults, training them to hear sounds that we might take for granted like a doorbell, the alarm clock and even danger signals like the fire alarm.
