Following the election, Julian has been meeting with business across a broad variety of industries and sectors. Last week, Julian met with constituents at their farm in Kirkby Malham to discuss issues around Hill Farming. Richard and Val Brown wanted to raise details of the specific challenges that they and other Hill Sheep Farmers face regarding Common Agricultural Policy together with their views about how funding for farmers is structured more generally.
Julian said: "Hill farming in Skipton and Ripon contributes so much to the agricultural sector and I will continue to represent strongly the very specific needs of hill farmers in my discussions with Ministers and more generally. We have some of the best farming in Britain and I am very keen to support all those who do so much to provide us with high quality food."
