Julian Smith MP visited the Craven Homeless Hostel last week to reopen their newly refurbished building, Aireview House.
Aireview House is the Council’s temporary accommodation provision for the whole district. It had been closed for a year for a full refurbishment, and Julian Smith was able to see the updated accommodations, which have made all units self-contained and brought the facilities up to modern day standards.
The centre now also has an adapted unit suitable for those with mobility issues, and a training room which will be used by other agencies to deliver tenancy support sessions, debt and budgeting advice, and sexual health advice.
Julian Smith MP said, ‘It was a pleasure to be able to re-open the refurbished Craven Homeless Hostel. I am delighted to see the new facilities, and I am sure that they will enable the staff to deliver even better service to customers.’
