Julian visited the Ripon Cathedral where he viewed the Cathedral’s renewed design plans. The Cathedral aims to provide 21st century facilities in support of the Cathedral's mission to the whole region. Whilst he was there he had the chance to see in person the impressive ‘A Wing and Prayer’ installation, an initiative that the cathedral organised with each angel representing a thank you to our key workers or a prayer for a loved one. Over 100 volunteers and 300 school children from Ripon and the surrounding area created and decorated angels and funds raised from the angel installation are helping to support Yorkshire Air Ambulance and work of the Ripon Cathedral.
The exhibition runs until the end of September and you can donate an angel for a key worker or special person online by visiting Ripon Cathedral website.
