Julian Smith MP attended the Green Futures Annual Youth Environment Summit on Sunday at Malham Tarn Field Centre. The summit is a residential weekend that provides an opportunity for young people from across the Green Futures projects to come together, explore and discuss a range of environmental themes, take part in practical conservation tasks and plan action as to how they can really make a difference to the environment.
Julian took part in a discussion and Q&A session with the young people there as part of the weekend programme. He spoke to them about his role in Parliament and answered a wide range of queries relating to the environment and young people.
Julian Smith said: ‘I had a great time at Malham Tarn Field Centre. It’s a wonderful and very unique place in its setting up on the moor. I was really impressed with the young people I met and they had great questions for me about politics and the environment.’
