Julian has met with the Chief Executive and Chairman of the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust at Ripon Hospital.
He discussed healthcare across the City, and around the District, with Dr Ros Tolcher, who took over as leader of the Trust earlier this year, and Chairman Sandra Dodson.
The MP heard how the Trust had been named the third best nationally for patient satisfaction for cancer treatment and care.
They also discussed work to develop care in the community services, with Julian stressing the importance of Ripon Hospital to the City’s residents, and met a number of patients currently receiving treatment.
The MP said:
“I regularly meet with those responsible for healthcare across my constituency to pass on the concerns and comments of residents so it was good to welcome Dr Tolcher to Ripon Hospital for my first meeting with her.
“I stressed to her, as the new Chief Executive of Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, the importance of the facility to the City and encouraged her to develop the services and care on offer.”
