Julian has hosted his annual Agriculture Summit and discussed issues of importance to the agricultural and farming community in the constituency.
Over 30 people attended the event at Kettlesing Millennium Village Hall on Friday 15 November including representatives of the NFU, Natural England and Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Among the issues raised were the Common Agricultural Policy, animal movements, TB in cattle, planning issues and the importance of broadband and mobile signals in rural communities.
Julian said:
“My annual Agricultural Summit is an excellent opportunity for me to hear directly from farmers and the agricultural community about the challenges they are facing.
“I will now make sure all the points and questions that were raised with me are put to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and will ask Ministers to respond to the issues raised.”
