Julian Smith MP has commented on the news that a local athlete, Jenny Lee is taking part in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria. The 19-year old figure skater from Farnhill is one of 21 athletes who have been selected to represent the country at the 2017 World Winter Games, which is one of the biggest events in the movement’s global calendar and held every four years.
Julian Smith MP said: ‘It takes a huge amount of dedication and talent to get to this level. I want to wish Jenny the very best of luck as she represents our country and takes part in the Special Olympics Winter Games and I hope that all her hard work pays off!’
