Julian has welcomed additional money for more school places in North Yorkshire.
Between 2014 and 2017, £40.9 million is being invested in the county as part of the Government’s long-term plan to give every young person the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Julian recently met with North Yorkshire County Council’s Chief Executive Richard Flinton and Pete Dwyer, Director of Children's Services, to discuss the investment.
The MP said:
“It is great news for North Yorkshire that the Government is investing tens of millions of pounds of extra funding to ensure every child has a place at school so that they can fulfil their potential.
“I know that the County Council are now discussing the best way of spending the new money and I look forward to hearing the outcome.
“This money is part of our long-term plan to create an education system that gives young people who want to work hard the skills they need to get on in life and have a more secure and better future.”
