Julian Smith MP welcomed constituents Thomas Marshall and Philip Brierley to Parliament. Mr Marshall owns Riverside Caravan Parks which is located near to High Bentham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and had made the trip to London along with Mr Brierley who owns, among several, Quarry Moor near Ripon and Old Hall near Langthorpe, for the annual British Holiday and Home Parks Association National Conference.
Riverside Park has been owned and managed by Thomas Marshall and his family since the late 60s and provides a site for tourists to the area and those with permanent homes on the park.
Quarry Moor and New Park is a residential park for the over fifties which offers accommodation in a rural environment, close to Ripon.
Julian Smith MP said: ‘Holiday parks such as Riverside Park and Quarry Moor Park form an important part of our visitor economy and homes provision in the region. It was good to discuss issues including business rates, staffing, broadband and flooding in our meeting. Park Homes are a very important part of my constituency and I will continue to represent the issues that both owners and constituents face.’
