The Social Mobility Foundation’s free programmes, supporting high-achieving year 12 students from less-privileged backgrounds to access top universities and professions, is now open for applications.
The organisation is aiming to encourage more people to apply this year and Julian Smith, Member of Parliament for Skipton and Ripon, is supporting their efforts.
95pc of students who have taken part in the scheme in the past say they are more confident about being able to enter their chosen profession.
Julian said:
“The Social Mobility Foundation is supported by a range of businesses, organisations and politicians from across all parties. It aims to give young people from less-privileged backgrounds the support they need, free of charge, to access leading universities and professions. I would encourage anyone in year 12 considering their future to look into the scheme and see how it could work for them.”
