Julian has welcomed new figures showing that 2,100 businesses across the constituency are benefitting from the Government’s Employment Allowance.
The Allowance, introduced in April, makes it easier for businesses to hire staff and create jobs by reducing the National Insurance Contributions that an employer pays for employees. It is worth up to £2,000 off the National Insurance bill of every employer and is open to businesses, charities and community amateur sports clubs.
Within the first six months of its launch, 66,000 employers across Yorkshire and over 850,000 across the country have benefitted from the Employment Allowance.
Julian said:
“It is positive news that 2,100 businesses are benefitting from the cut in National Insurance through the Employment Allowance across Skipton and Ripon, making it easier for them to hire staff and create jobs.
“We want to ensure every business here that can claim this tax cut does. If you’re not sure how to then please get in touch with me to find out more.
“This tax cut is a key part of our long-term economic plan to back business and secure a better future for Britain and we now need to see it through to deliver economy security.”
