Julian Smith focused on agriculture and farming issues during a visit to Pateley Bridge Auction Mart.
He hosted an Agricultural Drop-in Surgery during one of the regular Saturday Sales and spoke to farmers and those involved in the industry about their concerns and the issues they are facing.
It’s the first in a series of similar sessions the MP is hosting this Autumn – he will also be visiting Skipton Auction Mart and Bentham Auction Mart on Wednesday 12 November.
Julian said:
“Agricultural and farming issues are hugely important in a constituency as rural as mine, which is why I am hosting this series of special drop-in events through the Autumn.
“It was good to hear directly from farmers over the weekend in Pateley Bridge and I will ensure their views are reflected in my work in Parliament in the future.”
