Julian has attended a Jobs and Skills Fair in Skipton aimed at linking jobseekers with employment opportunities in Craven.
The Fair was hosted by Jobcentre Plus at their Newmarket Street offices in the town and saw employers and training providers come together with those currently looking for jobs. Information about apprenticeships, volunteers and starting businesses was also provided to those attending.
Julian, who opened the event on Friday 10 October, said:
“The Jobs and Skills Fair was a great chance to highlight the range of opportunities available to those out of work, from the range of jobs on offer to apprenticeships and how to think about starting their own businesses.
“Unemployment in Craven is already low, but I am determined to do all I can to ensure we get more people into employment and training to help secure their futures.
“I congratulate the excellent team of Jobcentre staff in Skipton for all their hard work in preparing for the event.”
