Julian is supporting a Jobs and Skills Fair taking place in Skipton next week and encouraging jobseekers and employers to get involved.
Jobcentre Plus are hosting the event on Friday 10th October with the aim of connecting employers and training providers with those currently looking for new jobs and employment opportunities.
The Jobcentre team will also be passing on information about apprenticeships, volunteering and how to start your own business.
Julian, who will be opening the event at Jobcentre Plus’s Cavendish House, said:
“Although the Skipton and Ripon constituency is fortunate to have one of the lowest rates of unemployment in the country, we can always do more to ensure as many people as possible have the security of employment or training.
This event aims to showcase jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities available, as well as the advice and information on offer for those interested in starting their own business. I hope both employers and those looking for work are able to attend and take up the offers of support available.”
The Jobs and Skills Fair takes place on Friday 10th October between 9am and 1pm at Skipton Jobcentre Plus, Cavendish House, Newmarket Street, Skipton BD23 2HN.
