Julian has met with residents and businesses in Galphay to discuss their concerns about the roll-out of improved broadband coverage.
The Nidderdale village is due to have its internet connection upgraded but, so far, they have not been given a firm commitment as to when.
The MP is now asking both the Superfast North Yorkshire team and BT, who are rolling out high speed internet connectivity, to provide greater clarity for the community.
Julian said:
“Having high speed, high quality broadband is vital for residents and businesses which is why the campaign I have led to bring the investment to make that a reality across North Yorkshire has been so important.
“Everyone in Galphay accepts that there are no overnight solutions to rolling out the superfast connections but they would like more answers as to when it might happen so they can fill the gap until it arrives.
“Hearing from one businessman who has to drive his data on a USB stick to a client because he can’t upload the file online illustrates why sorting this issue for my constituency has been my number one priority since becoming the MP.”
