Julian Smith has hosted his annual lunch for headteachers and student leaders from across the constituency.
Every secondary school is invited to nominate the head or senior teacher plus two pupils to attend the event which took place at The Red Lion in Burnsall on Friday (7 March). Julian answered questions on a range of topics, including tuition fees, high speed rail and Scottish independence.
All the schools were represented and the Lunch was supported by Skipton company Principle Healthcare whose Chief Executive, Mike Davies, attended and spoke about the importance of skills in the jobs market.
Julian said:
“This was my fourth School Leaders’ Lunch and it continues to be an excellent event which I look forward to hosting. It brings together young people from different schools in different parts of the constituency and gives them a chance to meet informally and discuss the issues that matter to them.
“I hope they found it interesting and useful and thank the headteachers who took time out of their busy schedules to bring the pupils to the event.”
