Julian has asked North Yorkshire County Council to consider launching a full review into the establishment of Foremost School.
Following a series of meetings on the issue, the MP has written to the Chief Executive of the Council, Richard Flinton, setting out his concerns.
He said:
“As discussed, I believe there is a strong public interest case for the Council undertaking a full review into the establishment of Foremost School. As you have accepted, there were a number of mistakes around cost estimation, project management and staffing, amongst others.
“I believe that these issues should be fully investigated in order that lessons may be learnt for the future, for the benefit of North Yorkshire County Council itself and other organisations which may wish to undertake similar projects.
“I understand that you will be exploring this option with Cllr Barker and I would be grateful if you could come back to me with a response.”
