Julian has met with parents in Carleton following the withdrawal of free school bus passes.
He spoke to them about their safety concerns, saw some of the route they are being asked to walk and promised to raise the issue again with North Yorkshire County Council who have made the decision.
Julian said:
“I understand the concerns of parents about the safety of their children and have asked North Yorkshire County Council to consider their response to the parents’ worries once again.
“Ensuring rural communities do not feel isolated is one of my priorities and I will continue to represent the views of the community on this important issue.”
