Julian, the Prime Minister’s Small Business Ambassador for Yorkshire, has marked Small Business Saturday by visiting shops and businesses in Settle.
He went to a number of stores in the town, including JW Garnett and Sons, Three Peaks Cycles and Walton of Hawes to hear about their work and thanked them for their work growing the local economy.
He also visited the Artisans Fair at the Victoria Hall showcasing work from small producers across North Yorkshire and beyond.
Across the country, the national Small Business Saturday campaign encouraged people to shop local and support small businesses in their community with a day of events.
Julian said:
“It was great to be able to visit shops in Settle and meet with owners and staff to thank them for their work in supporting our economy.
“I know this is a very important time of the year for shops and businesses across our area so it was positive to see many of them so busy and the town bustling as the countdown to Christmas continues.
“Small Business Saturday was a chance for all of us to show the importance of shops and small businesses to our community and I will continue to do all I can to support them in the months ahead.”
