Julian has welcomed a further investment by the Government in Craven College’s future.
Just over £2m has been made available by the College Capital Investment Fund to improve facilities at the College’s Skipton base as part of a £6.2m project.
Julian has supported the College’s development efforts since being elected in 2010. He opened their new Pen-y-ghent building in 2011 after helping secure £1m of Government funding for the £3m project.
Julian said:
“I am delighted the Government has once again recognised the important role which Craven College plays in this area providing education, apprenticeships and training to thousands of people.
“This £2m investment, matched by £4m of private funding, will allow the College to continue to modernise and update their facilities.
“With the successful completion of the stunning Pen-y-ghent building in 2011, the College has shown it can complete major projects on time and on budget which is why I, along with the Government, continue to support their plans for the future.”
