On Friday Julian Smith MP met with new apprentices at Skipton Building Society. Skipton Building Society is the biggest employer in the Skipton and Ripon constituency and the MP enjoyed the chance to hear about the excellent scheme that they are running which allows school leavers and graduates to experience a number of roles within the company over the course of three years.
The apprentices spoke passionately about the work they are doing and the experience they are gaining through the scheme.
Julian said: "I look forward to seeing this apprenticeship scheme expand in the years to come and continue to offer young people from across Skipton and Ripon and beyond an excellent alternative to university education."
