In September, Julian Smith MP attended the Welcome to Yorkshire Reception in Parliament. He chatted to Gary Verity, a driving force behind the Tour de France Grand Depart in Yorkshire.
Julian said: 'At our first meeting since he was knighted, we discussed a range of issues including the proposed Tour de Yorkshire passing through Settle. It isn't yet confirmed but is definitely something I will do everything I can to support.'
