Julian Smith MP, Member of Parliament for Skipton and Ripon has paid a visit to Settle Swimming Pool this month to hear about how businesses in Settle are giving so much support to the local pool. The pool recently obtained anual sponsorship from ten local businesses, who have advertising boards around the pool. Due to recent funding changes, this support is proving essential for the pool to continue to operate.
Julian said: "I am sure that despite funding changes the pool will continue to go from strength to strength and I will continue to support it in any way I can. The pool plays an important role in the local community, particularly in offering the opportunity to swim as part of the National Curriculum."
