Julian Smith MP met with pupils and staff from Settle CE Primary School last week to discuss the Connecting Classrooms programme, organised by the British Council and the Department for International Development (DFID).
Julian attended an assembly at the School on Friday morning, where they discussed the school’s partnership with Kwezana School in South Africa.
Julian Smith said: ‘It was great to meet pupils, teachers and staff at Settle Primary School on Friday. I was interested to hear about their involvement in DFID’s Connecting Classrooms project and I was also impressed to learn that the school has reached the finals of the prestigious Rolls Royce National Science Award.’
