Julian Smith MP welcomed the announcement in today’s budget that the 6 Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps have been given £40,000 to support the Regimental Community Centre for Armed Force personnel and their families at Dishforth Airfield.
This forms part of the further £36 billion of banking fines the Government has committed to supporting Armed Forces and Emergency Services charities and other good causes.
Julian Smith MP said ‘I welcome the budget announcement today. I am glad that this Government is championing causes that will make a real difference to those dedicated to serving their country and I am particularly pleased that we are able to support those in our area who are involved with Armed Forces.’
