Today, Julian is delighted to announce the winner of his annual Christmas Card Competition.
After hundreds of submissions by pupils from schools across Skipton and Ripon and careful deliberation by Julian and his parliamentary team, Georgia Harling (age 9) from Kildwick CE VC Primary School has been selected as the winner.
Her design will form the cover of Julian’s official Christmas cards, which will go out to hundreds of people in Westminster and across the constituency.
Also included inside will be the designs of four joint runners-up:
- Robyn, age 8, from Embsay Primary School
- Jessica, age 10, from Fountains CE Primary School
- Josh, age 5, from Glasshouses Primary School
- Molly, age 10, from Settle CE Primary School
Julian Smith said, “I’m really pleased to announce that Georgia Harling has won my Christmas Card Competition this year, after fighting off fierce competition from hundreds of pupils across Skipton and Ripon.
“It’s been fantastic to receive so many entries and I’m grateful to every pupil who took part this year, as well as their teachers and all the staff who helped them submit their designs.
“There have been some brilliant designs and I’m delighted that Georgia’s, Robyn’s, Jessica’s, Josh’s and Molly’s designs will all feature in my official Christmas Card this year. Thank you to everyone who took part.”
