Highlights include livestock competitions, equine events, sheepdog trials, baking, handicrafts, horticulture displays and the famous Crag race.
North Yorkshire Police, Fire & Rescue and the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association also attended offering informative demonstrations and answering questions about their services.
Commenting on his visit Julian said, “The Kilnsey show highlights the best of country life and farming alongside a taste of local cuisine and retail.
"Visiting today has been a great opportunity to talk to local businesses, farmers and attendees about the importance of rural businesses, the wider rural economy and ensuring the rural voice is heard.
"Thank you to all the organisers, competitors and exhibitors for such a fantastic show.”
