Julian Smith MP was pleased to welcome the Masham Agricultural Discussion Group to Westminster last week.
Around 60 farmers made the trip to London to visit the House of Commons. The constituents were given a tour of the Parliamentary Estate, and then took the opportunity to watch Parliamentary debates in the Speaker’s Gallery. Mr Smith was also able to spend some time meeting several of the group, and discussed a variety of concerns with them, including agriculture and the environment, as well as rural schools and employment.
Julian Smith MP said, ‘I was delighted to welcome the Masham Agricultural Discussion Group to Westminster. I hope their visit was enjoyable and interesting, and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to hear their views on a range of issues.’
