At the start of the month, Julian visited the Broughton Hall Estate where he caught up with Roger Tempest, the custodian of Estate and viewed their rewilding programme. He also toured Avalon, their state-of-the-art wellbeing centre, and visited the Bonds clinic, a family run addiction treatment facility which has recently located to the estate.
Throughout the month Julian continued to hold his regular surgeries both face-to-face and via the telephone, including in Skipton where he stopped by the Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa which is situated on the Bolton Abbey Estate for lunch and a walk around the gardens.
Julian also visited l'Anson Bros Ltd, a long-established family-run firm which has been serving farmers since 1900, and Grantley Hall, a luxury hotel located just outside of Ripon.
On the 19th of July, our country proceeded to Step 4 of the Government’s roadmap. Julian continues to have very regular meetings with local officials and NHS professionals regarding the Coronavirus situation in North Yorkshire and encourages everyone eligible to get vaccinated if they have not done so already. The Yorkshire Show was also held this month and Julian would like to thank North Yorkshire County Council for working with the organisers on Covid-19 guidance and protocol and is pleased the event was a success.
