Skipton and Ripon MP, Rt Hon Sir Julian Smith KCB CBE, is encouraging residents to participate in the ongoing consultation regarding the York and North Yorkshire Police and Crime Plan and Fire and Rescue Plan for 2025-2029.
This is an opportunity for communities to voice their priorities and concerns that will shape local policing and fire services over the next four years.
The consultation, which opened on 7 October 2024, will remain available until 18 November 2024. It seeks input from the public to ensure that the plans reflect local issues and opinions.
Julian said, ”It is important that our local priorities are represented in these plans. Issues of concern locally include rural crime, shoplifting, antisocial behaviour and road safety matters such as irresponsible vehicle use. I encourage everyone to take a moment to complete the survey at www.YourPoliceAndFire.com. This is our chance to ensure that the voices of our communities are heard loud and clear.”
In addition to individual responses, community groups and organisations are also invited to share their views through the survey.
Residents can complete the surveys online or request printouts for submission via FREEPOST. For more information and to access the consultation, please visit www.YourPoliceAndFire.com.
