Students from Nidderdale High School recently visited the Houses of Parliament as part of their educational trip to London. The visit, which took place on 13 February, included a tour of Parliament and a Q&A session with the school’s MP, Rt Hon Sir Julian Smith KCB CBE.
During their visit, the students had the opportunity to meet with Julian and ask him a range of questions. This interaction provided a valuable chance for the students to share their thoughts about Parliament and discuss what they had learned during their trip.
Following the visit, Julian commented, "It was great to meet students from Nidderdale High School in Parliament. They asked some very interesting questions and had a busy and engaging time in London."
The visit was part of Julian Smith's ongoing efforts to educate young people about the importance of democracy.
