Skipton High Street has received a £95,360 grant from Historic England to fund a number of community-led activities over the next three years.
The Cultural Programme in Skipton will focus on engaging young people who will be involved in devising projects and putting on events in the town which will help showcase Skipton's heritage in contemporary ways.
More broadly, this forms part of the four-year-long High Streets Heritage Action Zones’ Cultural Programme, led by Historic England, in partnership with Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
