Last week, Julian Smith CBE MP visited Settle where he viewed the latest improvement works at Settle Victoria Hall together with their new outdoor spaces where they have run events during the pandemic. Victoria Hall first opened in 1853 and is believed to be the oldest surviving music hall in the world and now runs a wide-ranging programme of events, including theatre, comedy, live music and community events.
Julian also popped in to visit local businesses too and went to the Ye Olde Naked Man Café, an independent family run artisan bakery and café for a bite to eat at lunchtime.
Julian Smith MP said, ‘Settle has so many brilliant places to visit from delicious bakeries, cafés and restaurants to the stunning one of a kind Settle Victoria Hall. North Yorkshire is rich in history and I would recommend visiting some of these attractions if you have not done so already’.
